Following the success of collaborating with The Adderstone Group for the launch of Stepney Yard in 2016, they turned to us to market their next high profile accommodation development.

We designed a brochure website displaying a fragmented aesthetic piecing together with what was then and what is now, just as the Jesmond exchange apartments do themselves. Taking visual inspiration from machinery and switchboards, photography and style from the 1950’s, the appearance of a telephone exchange building has been propelled into modern day living. If you explore the functionality of the website you will find the effects of glitches in the logo and menu, adding a lively take on past meeting present. Alluding to a nostalgic style, the site gives viewers a sense of the time period of the original telephone exchange building, looking ahead to the urban, edgy and stylish apartments they are now.
The Jesmond Exchange campaign also sustains the building’s role of establishing connections by communicating with it’s target audience. Addressing Newcastle’s students and young professionals, the campaign reflects the website spanning across 6 sheet posters throughout Newcastle and stunning visual brochures. In a vibrant and energetic way, the campaign visually tells the story of Jesmond Exchange to show that the apartments are the place to live for the young professionals in a vibrant area.

The team used the heritage of the building, an old BT telephone exchange, to give the project a unique dynamic and a strong visual identity for residents to relate to.
This is our second largest project to date with Keltie Cochrane and I am delighted that yet again we are 100 percent fully booked prior to opening.
